Tigers Secure Broadcast Future With Long-Term Extensions for Benetti and Dickerson
Detroit announced multi-year contract extensions with television play-by-play broadcaster Jason Benetti and longtime radio voice Dan Dickerson. The agreements will keep Benetti at the center of Tigers broadcasts on Detroit SportsNet while Dickerson continues leading the Tigers Radio Network and expands his television schedule. Benetti joined the Tigers before the 2024 season after previously serving as the television voice of the Chicago White Sox. His arrival was one of the more significant changes the Tigers made to their broadcast operation, and he quickly became a familiar part of the club's television coverage alongside analysts such as Andy Dirks, Carlos Peña and Craig Monroe. Dickerson made his Tigers radio debut alongside Hall of Fame broadcaster Ernie Harwell in 2000 and became the team's lead radio voice in 2003. The 2026 season was his 27th with the organization.

Prospect Development — Josue Briceño, C/1B for the Tigers, dropped 20 spots in prospect rankings as minor league playoffs concluded. There are only a handful of players with prospect eligibility remaining left in the Major League postseason.
